Tinley Park EMA's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is located on the lower level of the Tinley Park Public Safety Building. It functions as the focal point for EMA communications and disaster operations. With communications equipment linked to the Illinois State Police, the Northern Illinois Emergency Warning System, and the WillWarn system, EMA is provided emergency weather and disaster related information. Other communications equipment enables EMA to carry on the function of support to other Tinley Park Public Safety areas, as well as EMA units from other communities. The center may also be utilized as an emergency shelter that can provide both food and sanitation facilities. The center also functions as a training facility and as a place for the administrative offices.
